The ACR Satellite2 406 EPIRB features automatic activation of signal transmissions when deployed and in contact with water, or they can be manually activated. A built-in strobe provides for enhanced location in poor visibility. A single, three-position switch operates the unit and a full function test mode. Both the Category I and Category II transmit on 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz with your registered, digitally coded distress signal. The ACR Satellite2 is constructed of an exclusive, polycarbonate blend designed for maximum resistance to UV, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and shock. Self-buoyant design floats upright and features a lanyard coiled on a recessed spool. The 5-year lithium battery provides an operating life of 48 continuous hours. The Satellite2 406 is available in automatic Category I and manual release Category II versions. Both are activated by sustained water as well.
